This is the debut CD from the UK's Engorgement ; with a release title such as 'Excruciating Intestinal Lacerations' you pretty much know what you are in for. Brutal, sick, gore death/slam death metal [Dull, boring, a chore to listen to et cetera, et cetera - ED]. The band is not horrible [Ah Patrick - call spade a spade! OK, I just did it. There. Better. - ED] but nothing really memorable about the songs or overall release. Hopefully Engorgement work on some newer, better songs for their next release [I just hope they fuck off and leave metal to the real bands. But since the world is dead that won't happen and this sorry excuse of a band will continue, adding Facebook 'friends' and 'likes' in the process, and consider themselves 'song writers' and 'musicians' - ED]
